The Heirs

Posted on: September 3, 2014

I just finished Marathon the Korean drama -The Heirs, and I found it quite Good. the line up was fantastic, and suitable. Character wise,  well, i really hate the heroin that keep crying for every single thing but anyway,  my focus is not about the love story that had been portrayed but the family matters.

this drama shows me that it is so hard to be one of the heirs. and they are only 18y/o and need to be burden by lotsaaaaa family matters and drama. and it is a heavy one. I can’t imagine myself being one of them. You can’t choose who you wanted to be, You can’t choose who you want to love, You can’t love the one you love, and everything is decided to you since you were born. Plus, more drama when you are the illegal child but were given a lot of shares in the company. Trust issues arrived when every single family member were fighting the shares in the company. The siblings can be the biggest rival, your uncles and aunts can be your most dangerous enemies, and even you mom had her own agenda to stabilize her spot.

I really can’t imagine. and I don’t know if its really happening in real life. but this drama open my eyes to a lot of things. We might see this type of class people anywhere. How money can buy anything, but not happiness. Money can buy a person’s pride. Money can buy a promise and trust. Money is a powerful thing. but after all, who you are is still who you are and where you came from is something you can’t change. the responsibility to carry you family name will haunts you till you are death. but then, you have to let go a lot of things..and your dreams.

The best part I think is when the heirs got frustrated of what happened in their family, and can not really talk about it to anyone (they go to school for connection, not friends), they will draw a ‘crime scene’ in front of the school as a protest to their family drama.

You may not get what I’m saying but, you will when you watch this drama. Just avoid the love story of the main character. I overjoy myself skipping that part hahahaha

 ops hubs calling. gtg. 🙂
