Tabur East

Posted on: November 8, 2013

So knowing MK for the past 4 years, i always recommend him to hike Tabur, He did it few time but always clash with my timing. So i need to make it happened this time or he going to shout at me. Tabur East trail is quite challenging for the first timer, but i felt that it’s still ok compared to Datuk or Angsi . Even Kak Lyn disagree with this statement. Honestly, for those who wants to start Hiking, better train your legs at Tabur West/Broga at least..

The first 45 mins will get you sick and cursing (for the first timer normally). I’m the kind of person who likes to take my own sweet time, Feeling the nature and scenery so i don’t really like to rush when i hike up. Its a waste for not enjoying the present from God. So i think i’m gonna give some tips for the beginners who wants to start hiking.

Total timing : up : 1.5 hours (depend on your fitness), Down : 1.5 hours or less.

#tips

  1. Wear a very light comfortable shoes. I recommend Skechers Gotrail for a very minimal terrain. ..and make sure it goes with a socks.
  2. 500ml of water should be ok. and a banana.
  3. Very light bag pack. would be better with a small camping back so it provide backup on your shoulder. No handbag please girl. we go hiking not shopping! I don’t really like bringing bag so normally i brought a poach to put my phone and banana. and water bottle with its own  strap.
  4. Glove (this is up to you. Protect your hand since it was the thinness organs on your body)
  5. Bring a good friend who does not keep complaining but have determination to hike too. Fussy and loud friend is not recommended. They will give you extra pressure and the hike is not fun anymore.
  6. Bring a good attitude  and open up yourself. Don’t ever ask how long/how many KM. just keep hiking and don’t look up. control your mind and soul.
